Your Hosts

Vermont Cleghorne

Gospel Music has been a part of my life as long as I remember and when an opportunity to host my own gospel show came along, I quickly jumped at the chance.

Pamela Perry

I started off as a fan and when Vermont asked me to co-host, I was thrilled. Together we banter back and forth about the selected songs, which our listeners say gives it a nice touch.

How It All Began

The Gospel Pulse started about 5 years ago. I graduated from Humber College Canada with a certificate in broadcasting. I love Gospel Music and I am familiar with many Gospel artists. I remember reading in a magazine about reality radio and they were looking for ideas from anyone who would be interested in hosting a show. With my background in Gospel Music, I contacted Reality Radio and after negotiating a time and other details, The Gospel Pulse became a reality.

The show has been a blessing to so many listeners. The feedback and positive responses have been overwhelming. About four years ago I thought of adding another voice to the Gospel Pulse and I asked my friend Pam Perry if she would be my cohost. At first, she was reluctant to take on the challenge but, after encouraging and reassuring her she consented and became my cohost. She has really made an impact on the listening audience with her historical research on many relevant topics that are significant and interesting to the show.

On the Gospel Pulse, we play Traditional, Inspirational, Southern Gospel and contemporary music. You get a variety that we hope will satisfy your particular taste of music. In addition, we share encouraging words of comfort and inspirational thoughts.

Hosting the Gospel Pulse is something we really LOVE to do and we are excited and thrilled to come into your homes every week on Sunday from 10:00pm to 11:00pm EST.
